EU law requires an information society service to make its operator easily, directly and permanently identifiable. This page is that record. Every other page on rainsound.app refers here instead of repeating it, so if operator details ever change, they change in one place.

Email is the operative channel and reaches the operator directly; there is no call centre and no contact form, by design. Messages in English or Lithuanian are answered.

What this service is, and is not

• rainsound.app is a free browser-based player for real rain sounds, with short guides on using them for sleep and focus. There are no accounts, no payments and no forms, and no contract for goods or services is concluded through this site.
• Nothing here is medical, sleep or health advice. The guides describe how sound works and how people use it; if sleep or concentration problems persist, talk to a professional.
• The rain, thunder and ambience recordings are public-domain (CC0) field recordings, credited by source on the terms & sounds page. The white, pink and brown noise are generated by the player in your browser.
• One labelled partner link sits on the player page. Which partner, and the rule that it never affects the player or the guides, is set out in the privacy policy.

Responsibility for content

The operator named above is responsible for the content of this site. Corrections are published rather than argued with: write to hello@plainforge.com and, where something is wrong, the fix appears on the page with a new date.

Disputes and applicable law

• Since no consumer contracts are concluded through this site, the EU rules attaching to online sales and service contracts do not apply to your use of it. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform was discontinued in July 2025 and is deliberately not linked here.
• Use of this site is governed by the terms & sounds page. The operator is established in the Republic of Lithuania and this notice is provided under Lithuanian law implementing Directive 2000/31/EC.
• Data protection questions and rights are handled as described in the privacy policy, which names the controller by reference to this page and your right to complain to the Lithuanian supervisory authority.

This page is the single authoritative statement of operator identity for rainsound.app. If any other page appears to state different operator details, this page prevails and the discrepancy is a bug worth reporting.
